About PureSil Mineral Silicate Paint

PureSil is India’s next-generation zero-VOC mineral silicate paint, developed by Dr. Nikhil Dhote (Ph.D., CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur) after more than a decade of inorganic chemistry research. Unlike conventional acrylic emulsions that form a temporary plastic film on the wall surface, PureSil uses proprietary Silicification Technology to chemically bond with mineral substrates — permanently embedding itself into concrete, cement plaster, brick, and stone.

The result is a coating that lasts 20+ years without repainting, is A1 fire-rated, vapour-permeable, mould-resistant, and 46% lower in cradle-to-gate embodied carbon than acrylic alternatives. Learn more about the Science of Silicification or read about our founder Dr. Nikhil Dhote’s research background.

PureSil is manufactured at scale in Nagpur by Relic Coatings LLP, a DPIIT-recognised deep-tech startup. The formulation upcycles 85% recycled feedstock — rice husk ash and coal fly ash — diverting agricultural and industrial by-products from open burning or landfill. Independently NABL-validated, IGBC/LEED/GRIHA-credit-eligible, and priced for mass-market adoption without the traditional “green premium”.
